In the summer of 2005, Christ Memorial Lutheran Church relocated to it’s current location on Lindbergh Boulevard. Formerly a Target store, this location gave Christ Memorial all the pen space they needed to create a unique, multi-purpose facility. This facility enables Christ Memorial’s members to serve the community with many new and exciting activities and ministries!
As a way to unite Christ Memorial members in their new space and to welcome the community, the idea of doing a first-ever Christ Memorial Production was born. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2005) was a surprise, award-winning hit, and its success led the church into a whole new area of ministry and community outreach.
In 2008, we officially became known as Christ Memorial Productions; a musical theater group, and integrated ministry that combines the gifts and talents of those within the church and those of the community. CMP promotes an equal opportunity for all experience levels. We currently focus on one production in the fall of each year.
In the first 7 years of this ministry, we have had the pleasure of performing to more than 11,500 people, earned more theatrical awards than any otehr church group in St. Louis history, and continue to raise the bar for ourselves and others.
As Christ Memorial Productions continued to grow, we hope to become a greater presence in the local theatrical community, expand our creative opportunities, and continue producing outstanding shows that CMP is known for.

Dr. Jeffrey Kloha Interview
Dr. Jeffrey Kloha, Director of the Center for the Study of Early Christian Texts at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, talks about the controversy over the recent discovery of an ancient 4th-century papyrus fragment that seems to have Jesus saying the words “my wife” and prompting the question of “Was Jesus Christ married?”.
Click HERE for images of the fragment and a translation of the text, and for information (in question-and-answer format) about the fragment.
A draft of Karen L. King’s article about the gospel papyrus can also be found HERE.

Matthew 4:1-11
The Temptation of Jesus
(1) Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. (2) And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. (3) And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.”( )4 But he answered, “It is written,
“‘Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
(5) Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple (6) and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written,
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,’
and
“‘On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”
(7) Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’” (8) Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. (9) And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” (10) Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written,
“‘You shall worship the Lord your God
and him only shall you serve.’”
(11) Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him.
