It’s the time of year when we celebrate motherhood. Growing in popularity are terms that include “mom” to define people who care for non-human creatures and things.
And so, in this edition of Bri’s Big Question (BBQ), Bri’s asking: Are Dog Moms Real Moms?
Beginning with an exposition on what we as Lutherans believe about pro-life culture and the vocation of motherhood, Bri then shares her views on vocation and the stewardship of God’s creation, including how mothering children and mothering creatures are two different things. She and the other Ladies continue in a lively discussion on what it means to mother human children and “mother” creatures, what the order of creation means, and how we can steward the good gifts God gives to us.
