Alyssa Portz shares what it was like to be at the lowest point in her life and how God is in all things, even in our difficulties and how He used her situation for good. Alyssa was involved in a senior prank that went terribly wrong. At 17 years old, Alyssa was sentenced to 14 days in jail, 200 hours of community service, and 2 years of probation. She shares what it was like to go through everything that she has been through, how she drew on her foundation of faith and how she turned her life around.
Bio: Alyssa Portz is a 20-year-old student from Marshfield, Wisconsin. She earned her Associates Degree in Human Services from Northcentral Technical College. She will be going on to get her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Upper Iowa University this fall. Alyssa works full-time at Menards. When Alyssa graduates with her degree she hopes to work with at-risk youth. Alyssa wants to share her story to inspire those she will encounter.
