Today Pastor Wade looks at the readings for the Second Sunday after Pentecost, Series A in the Three Year Lectionary. Looking at how God loved us, loved all people, knowing his love first and foremost as the Epistle Lesson from Romans 5 tells us “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” How does that apply to us in our current lives? What impact does that have in way we treat others and respond to the unique circumstances we have faced over the last couple of months? In our Gospel lesson, Jesus gives his disciples specific instruction on how to help those of Israelite descent, similarly we too as those reconciled to God by Christ have specific instructions as those who are a holy people to live out Christ love in the midst of whatever we face.”
