Guests Dr. Ben Freudenburg – Director of the Concordia Center for the Family, Division Chair of the Family Life Program and Professor in Family Life Studies at Concordia University Ann Arbor and Glenn Gritzon – Managing Partner and Primary Researcher of Congregation Family Services, Managing Partner, talk about how the church can raise the capacity of families and how to keep these families healthy. “Concordia Center for the Family, in partnership with the FamilyLife Family Needs Survey (FNS) and Concordia Plan Services, wish to gather reliable data on these issues in an anonymous, objective, comprehensive process in order to provide focused solutions and resources that are effective, solid and needed as a pathway to prevention or recuperative family church worker health.” Ben and Glenn talk about the needs for this survey and the results of it. Andy Bates, DCE
If you haven’t had Associate Executive Director's Andy Bates’s smoked mac and cheese from scratch (yes, including the noodles), you’re missing out on a magical food experience. Although he’ll gladly go venturing through the woods in his Vivobarefoot Trail Freaks (those are shoes), he’ll also stay happily busy automating every possible thing in his home while eating cherry cheesecake brownies made by his wife, Lauren. As a Theatre major, don’t ask him to pick a favorite play, but you may find him hanging out with his adorable son watching Trolls or listening to bluegrass or the latest audiobook on biomechanics.
