Deaconess Rachel Jaseph, Serving the Lord in Latin America and the Caribbean

Read a snippet of her bio here: Deaconess Rachel Jaseph (nee Powell) serves the Lord as a career missionary through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) supporting theological education for future deaconesses in Latin America and the Caribbean. In this role, she assists in curriculum review, resource translation and teaching regional courses alongside fellow missionary deaconesses. Rachel completed her deaconess certification at Concordia University Chicago, River Forest, Ill., serving her deaconess internship as an LCMS GEO (globally engaged in outreach) missionary in Lima, Peru. She received her first deaconess call working with Dominican deaconess students in Santiago, Dominican Republic. While serving in Latin America, Rachel supported the regional deaconess training program, taught Biblical classes and participated in spiritual care and mercy projects for congregations and their members. She also served as a fieldworker and an intern in cross-cultural and intergenerational ministries in London, Chicago and Peru. Read the rest of her bio at lcms.org/jaseph.
