Rev. Herb and Markie Burch serve the Lord as career missionaries of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) in Lima, Peru. They work with other missionaries to implement the outlined mission strategy for this area. This strategy includes gathering groups together for Bible study, establishing mercy missions, teaching the Lutheran confessions and raising up and empowering local leaders to carry out future ministry. In addition, they provide leadership and counseling for other mission teams in the area, offer pastoral care and counseling and coordinate with local ministry partners. Through Word and Sacrament ministry, they care for disadvantaged people who need to experience the love of Jesus Christ. Read more of their bio at lcms.org/burch.
