Guest Sarah Bernhardt, Program Director for Intersect Art Center, talks about the organization and the wonderful opportunities it gives the community in urban South City St. Louis.
Intersect runs a wide range of programs, from after school programs for kids, open computer lab time for adults, art classes for kids and adults, music and dance classes, with conflict resolution built into these programs. All of these programs, along the artists, dancers, musicians, and pastors that provide these for the community, strengthen not only the physical community surrounding Intersect but also the faith of the children and adults who come to participate in the programs. Holy Cross Lutheran Church participates in the mission of Intersect with devotions, and Pastor Bob Bernhardt helps the children and adults learn conflict resolution skills along with God’s love for them.
