1. Lutheranism in Ethiopia
Rev. Craig Donofrio interviews Bishop Belay Olam of Ethiopia and Al Collver about happenings in Ethiopia. The Ethiopian bishop claims the Ethiopian church is the largest Lutheran body in the world and is rapidly growing. The big problem for him is a lack of pastors. So, the LCMS is helping with scholarships to train more. Check out the interview:
2. Lutheran family camps in Russia
With the help of translator Alexey Zubstov, Kip Allen speaks with Pastor Yaroslav Boychenko of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ingria, Russia; and Vyacheslav and Olga Lebedev, leaders and founders of the family camp. They discuss the resurgence of religion in Russia following the fall of the Soviet Union and how modern Russian families are suffering from a feeling of isolation. The camps are designed to reopen communications and togetherness among families.
