Concordia College Alabama
Norman Richards, Director of Recruitment for Concordia College Alabama, joins his admissions team Ralph Coquemar, Stanley Conner, and Kimberly Wade to talk about the unique student life at Concordia College Alabama. CCAL is a small school of about 600 students that creates a wonderful community atmosphere that also provides a “second-chance” opportunity for students who may not get into other universities because of low GPA or test scores. CCAL offers special programs and opportunities to help these students achieve their best in school. Business, nursing, education, and criminal justice are popular majors for students at CCAL. Concordia University Ann Arbor
Jon Bahr, Director of Enrollment for Concordia University Ann Arbor, talks about the wonderful people and incredible campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Because CUAA is a small university in a Big 10 college town, students can not only participate in an abundance of college life but also have a close-knit community of Christians on campus. Family Life Ministry is a unique program for CUAA, and business and health care are very popular areas of study. Alpha and Omega House Parties, hosted by CUAA Campus Ministry, allow students in each dorm of 48 students to host a weekly event to talk about what God has done in their lives, play some games, and connect with the other students on campus. As a NAIA Division II school, student-athletes can play a variety of sports, including football, soccer, and newly-formed lacrosse. Concordia University Chicago
John Korntheuer, Associate Director of Admission for Concordia University Chicago, speaks about the wonderful opportunities for students at CUC’s campus in beautiful River Forest, IL. CUC is located about ten miles west of the Loop in Chicago, and students often use the easily accessible public transportation to access the unique cultural opportunities downtown. CUC was founded as a teacher’s college, and the College of Education is a very popular choice for students. Church work programs, including the only undergraduate Deaconess degree, are strong programs as well, and Careers For Christ is a unique visit weekend specifically for those students. As an NCAA Division III school, student-athletes have many opportunities to participate in athletics as a student, and intramurals are a popular choice for those who don’t want to play at the intercollegiate level. The arts are very popular, and the Wind Symphony and Kapelle choir travel all over the world. Concordia University Irvine
Emily Beckman, Sr. Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions for Concordia University Irvine, speaks about the unique opportunities for students at CUI. With a campus just outside Los Angeles, California, CUI offers a beautiful campus community as well as opportunities in the city. Exercise Science, psychology, business, biology, and communication are the popular majors, and CUI also offers church work programs such as pre-seminary, pre-deaconess, and DCE. A very unique opportunity for students is Enduring Questions and Ideas, a program incorporated into classes to encourage students to think critically. As an NCAA Division II school, student-athletes have many opportunities to excel. Students involved in arts and music can earn scholarships even if they are not art or music majors, which encourages participation in the arts. Concordia University Nebraska
Megan Heiser, Admissions Counselor for Concordia University Nebraska, talks about the wonderful community in Seward, Nebraska, that supports the university and students at CUNE. A large percentage of Lutheran teachers have graduated from CUNE, and the Lutheran teacher education and church work programs are quite popular. CUNE boasts a large percentage of student that come from outside the state, which contributes to a unique campus atmosphere. Although the university is in cornfields in Nebraska, campus life is never boring. With a bowling alley on campus, regular movie nights in town, and very popular intramural sports, there’s always something to do. The NAIA Bulldog athletics program is quite robust, with track and field winning national championships and the basketball team making it to the NCAA Tournament. Concordia College New York
Brian Sondey, Director of First Year Admission at Concordia College New York, talks about the Christ-Centered, Value-Oriented education opportunities at CCNY. Popular programs at CCNY include Nursing, Radiologic Technology, and Business Administration. CCNY also has a Lutheran elementary school on campus, which makes Lutheran teacher education a unique experience. Concordia University Portland
Andy Wright, Director of Undergraduate Admission for Concordia University Portland, talks about the beautiful campus at CUPDX. The campus is next to the Alberta Arts District, providing students opportunities for the arts off campus, and skiing and visiting the ocean are popular activities for students. Academic service learning programs are incredibly important and built into student life. The nursing program is CUPDX’s largest program and one of the top programs in the Northwest, and the business and education programs, especially the unique “3 to PhD” education program, are quite popular. Concordia University St. Paul
Kristin Vogel, Associate Vice President of Traditional Enrollment Management for Concordia University St. Paul, talks about the unique opportunities about the campus nestled between the downtowns of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. CSP has over 50 undergraduate programs, as well as adult degree completion and graduate programs. One of the newest degrees added is the Doctorate of Physical Therapy, and CSP is the only university to offer the unique degree of Director of Christian Outreach. CSP is a NCAA Division II school with wide variety of sports, including lacrosse, and the school also has robust theater and arts programs for students. Concordia University Texas
Candice Hill, Director of Traditional Undergraduate Admission at Concordia University Texas, talks about the Christ-Centered education students receive in the Texas Hill Country just outside of Austin. CTX is launching a doctorate-level education degree this fall, and also offers 22 undergraduate degrees including nursing, business, and education. Being on a federally protected preserve in the Hill Country and also being so close to Austin provides an incredible experience for students. Concordia University Wisconsin
Michele M. Hoffman, Director of Enrollment for Concordia University Wisconsin, talks about the 6 academic schools and over 70 undergraduate majors at CUW. The School of Pharmacy is 1 of 2 Schools of Pharmacy in Wisconsin, the other being the University of Wisconsin. Popular majors at CUW include pre-health majors, including accelerated programs that lead directly into graduate studies. CUW is NCAA Division III, so student-athletes have many options for intercollegiate sports. Campus life on Lake Michigan includes many opportunities for involvement on campus. Also, CUW Alum and Admissions Counselor Trammell Lynes talks about his experiences at CUW and how his time there equipped him for his current vocations.
