About Kip Allen
KFUO Operations – Kip Allen is host and producer of World Lutheran News Digest. A lifelong Lutheran, Kip’s broadcast career started in 1970 at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville at WSIE-FM. He earned a degree in mass communications. He also studied Russian and history at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. He holds a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. His career has taken him across the country, working in New York, Iowa, Alabama, Louisiana and California, where he was honored by the Southern California Radio and Television News Association with five Golden Mike awards. Following the death of his wife, Kip decided to return to St. Louis where he grew up. Kip spends his off time playing with his computer, reading, brewing beer and gardening.
